Abstract

Bovine Papular Stomatitis Virus (BPSV) is a viral
disease characterized by the formation of papules or nodules on
the nose, lips, tongue and oral mucosa. In Argentina, there are few
records of its presence. A case of BPSV observed in calves from
a dairy farm is reported. e clinical-epidemiological behavior,
pathological findings and identification of the agent through
molecular biology are conclusive for its confirmation. e artificial
breeding system and the lack of some sanitary measures favored
the transmission of the disease among the calves.
