Effect of radical stimulation on productive variables of banana cultivation
Abstract
Biostimulants in banana cultivation improve crop
nutrition and reduce the effect of biotic and abiotic factors
that affect yield; therefore, the objective was to evaluate the
effect of root biostimulation. In banana production, a completely
randomized design with six treatments was used: T1: Control, T2:
Soil aeration, T3: Rooter, T4: Humic acids, T5: Rooter + Humic
acids and finally T6: soil turning. e results showed significant
mean differences in bunch mass (T5, 28.48 kg), rachis mass (T5,
5.35 kg), number of bunch hands (T5, 8.6), caliper of the second
hand (T5, 47), number of weeks to harvest 37 weeks in all
treatments and intensity of chlorophyll color in the third leaf (T3,
59.33), net mass consisting of the weight of the entire harvested
bunch (T5, 23.13 kg). It is concluded that root stimulation with
biostimulants improves banana crop productivity.
