Peer Review Process
Articles submitted for publication are first evaluated by the Local and/or Advisory Editorial Committee to ensure the relevance of the journal's topics. Once this stage is successfully passed, the article is sent to two external reviewers under a double-blind system. In case of disagreement between the reviewers' opinions, a third evaluator is consulted. The time required for the article review by the referee is 30 days. Reviewers must inform the publication editor if there is any conflict of interest. They must also maintain confidentiality regarding the material they are evaluating. The final decision on the publication of the evaluated articles is made by the Responsible Editor.
The criteria followed by the reviewers in the evaluation are as follows:
- Compliance with the stated purpose
- Methodological and conceptual rigor
- Quality in the development of the topic
- Style, terminology, and clarity of exposition
- Bibliography

Anti-Plagiarism Policy
The authors of the texts are entirely responsible for the content of their contributions. As a policy to prevent plagiarism, the Scientific Editorial Committee of Ab Intus reserves the right to review, using specialized anti-plagiarism software, all texts submitted for publication, using the usual criteria to detect such practices. Conflicts of Interest
Ab Intus is committed to publishing quality research, ensuring transparency in the review and publication processes, without any undue influence. Authors, reviewers, and editors must declare any conflicts of interest.
Conflicts of interest may arise in the role of author, reviewer, or editor, affecting the manuscript during the writing, review, or publication process when there are ties to activities or relationships that could improperly influence their judgment.
Authors must declare any conflicts of interest at the end of their work, detailing the nature of such conflicts (employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, patents, and paid expert testimony).
Editors must declare their conflict of interest upon receiving the manuscript for evaluation, declining to review it and clarifying the reason for the conflict.
Artificial Intelligence
Due to the increasing use of artificial intelligence in academic works, Ab Intus establishes the following policy.
Regarding authorship, only humans can be recognized as authors. We do not accept or recommend the use of AI in compiling bibliographies.
Authors who use AI for writing an article must indicate the percentage of AI-generated text and specify it in the submission for analysis by the editorial team. Additionally, the AI model used must be clarified in the cover letter and in the methods section of the article.
Ethical practices for the use of AI in scientific texts:
- For creating the article structure or a writing guide.
- For generating a summary.
- As an aid for writing sections of text that do not alter the content.
